May 3 - news of note
From the St. Louis Review (4/14/06)
Sts. Mary and Joseph School building in Carondelet is for sale, and those proceeds would go to St. Stephen Protomartyr Parish. Sts. Mary and Joseph Parish merged with St. Stephen last year. The church at Sts. Mary and Joseph has been retained as a chapel and is used by St. Stephen Parish for its Saturday evening Mass.
Proceeds would go to the ministries of St. Stephen Protomartyr, said Father Charles Barthel, pastor of St. Stephen.
"That includes the upkeep of Sts. Mary and Joseph Chapel, which is the oldest church in Carondelet," said Father Barthel.
