While I was adding more churches to the Links section, I came across the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation. This non-profit volunteer organization was founded by members of the now closed St. Boniface Parish in Quincy, MA in the Boston Archdiocese.
From their website, I found this description in the About Us section.
"From small beginnings--a 1981 parish Walk for Hunger in Quincy, Massachusetts--the St. Boniface Haiti Foundation has expanded to become an independent organization able to consistently and significantly aid the people of a desperately poor rural region of the Republic of Haiti. "
As part of my ongoing process of adding items while I'm currently out of school, I've managed to find many more St. Boniface churches throughout the US and the world that are now referenced online.
Some of the most recent finds: Springfield, GA, Brooklyn, NY and several in the Fargo, ND diocese and a few more in Canada and the United Kingdom.
Longtime parishioner of St. Boniface, who started the original http://www.catholic-forum.com/churches/028stboniface site in 1998. Even though the parish is gone, this site remains to tell the story of this historic faith community that served south St. Louis for more than 140 years.
