Ivory theatre opening night...not exactly

The doors were polished, and so was the gleaming wood concession stand that greets you when you walk into the Ivory Theatre formerly St. Boniface Church. However, when I went to purchase a ticket to see the initial performance, Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, there weren't any available. The show had been shut down around 5:30PM, according to a reporter from the Post-Dispatch as a result of an injunction by the St. Louis Archdiocese. I had the pleasure of being escorted through the theatre this evening by Mr. Mike Allen who showed me the work that was done and the amenities added, renovated and prepared. It truly has turned out to be an amazing stage venue.
